In-Business Control Analyst Role:

SP is in search of an In-Business Control Officer to join its In-Business Control team (IBC) in Tampa, FL. The IBC operates within the SP Chief Operating Officer's (COO) framework, which encompasses IBC, Business Execution, Product Development, and Financial Reporting Teams. This function serves as the first line of defense, overseeing the SP risk and control framework while ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and Citi's internal policies. The IBC plays a crucial role in implementing supervisory, risk assessment, and compliance protocols necessary to mitigate market conduct and operational risks inherent to the business. Close collaboration with SP business units is essential to address regulatory, compliance, and audit challenges, as well as to support firmwide transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the SP business, its processes, systems, and controls.
  • Familiarize with Citi's policies and procedures and their relevance to SP.
  • Collaborate with Business, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and other control partners to establish and maintain a cohesive operational control framework.
  • Prepare presentation materials and metrics for business reviews and governance discussions.
  • Evaluate progress against strategic and transformation goals, communicating key risks, defining mitigation strategies, and overseeing remediation efforts.
  • Design and implement enhanced controls and processes to rectify weaknesses or gaps in SP's operational risk landscape.
  • Identify trends, synergies, and inconsistencies in controls across various products and regions.
  • Develop, analyze, and maintain essential business metrics to monitor operational risk performance across individuals, desks, and businesses within SP.
Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Background in finance, consulting, compliance, legal, or a similar control function.
  • Familiarity with financial markets and products is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-sufficient problem solver with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to manage complex and time-sensitive tasks.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
