Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Educator to enhance our team of healthcare professionals.

Position Overview

The RN Educator is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for all facility personnel. This role includes conducting orientation sessions for new nursing staff and providing ongoing educational opportunities to ensure high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designs, implements, and assesses facility-wide training initiatives.
  • Creates an annual training calendar and master schedule for mandatory educational programs, sharing it with key management personnel.
  • Organizes and facilitates mandatory training sessions for all staff members.
  • Distributes monthly training schedules to all departments.
  • Stays informed about and recommends educational resources to departments involved in training.
  • Collaborates with the Personnel Director and Department Heads to conduct orientation for new hires, specifically for nursing staff.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Possesses a valid New York State Registered Nurse license.
  • Minimum of two to three years of experience in a long-term care setting, focusing on Nursing Administration.
  • Prior experience in educational program development is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CDC guidelines and OSHA regulations related to infection control is essential.
