About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Integrated Power Services. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design and development of electrical systems for our clients in the power generation, utilities, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems, including switchgear, automatic transfer schemes, standby generators, and paralleling equipment, to meet client specifications.
  • Research and develop new design concepts to improve the efficiency and reliability of electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, operations, and quality control, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design packages, site surveys, and testing procedures.
  • Work with vendors and procurement teams to source materials and equipment.
  • Travel to client sites to conduct site surveys, testing, and commissioning.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, plus 5-10 years of experience in electrical design and development.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of control system design, including MV switchgear, PLCs, VFDs, programming, panel layout, component selection, testing, and modifications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD, with experience in AutoCAD Electric and SolidWorks a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
