Job Overview

PACE Southeast Michigan seeks a skilled and compassionate Nursing Care Specialist to provide supportive services to our participants. As a key member of our team, you will work under the direction of the Center Manager and/or Team Lead/Home Care Coordinator to deliver high-quality care in various settings.

About the Role

  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities, meal preparation, and toileting, ensuring optimal physical and emotional comfort for our participants.
  • Assist participants and their families in achieving maximum self-reliance and independence within their environment.
  • Perform a variety of tasks and services outlined in the individual participant's Care Plan, including medication reminders, shopping, and laundry services.

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Michigan Driver's license.
  • CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Experience working with frail or elderly populations is preferred.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and interdepartmental relationships skills.
  • Able to problem-solve, interpret instructions, and work in a flexible scheduling environment.
  • Familiarity with dementia and developmental disabilities a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Variable working conditions with potential exposure to communicable diseases and chemicals.
  • Supervised monthly by the RNCM and quarterly with the PCA to evaluate performance and satisfaction.
  • Driving is required within PACE SEMI catchment area.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of automobile insurance are necessary.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 based on industry standards and location.
