Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Lifespan. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating a CT scanner and related equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of various anatomical areas.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CT scanner equipment, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance to produce accurate images.
- Position patients and equipment for optimal imaging results.
- Collect and complete patient data records, including medical history, image number, and examination type.
- Administer contrast medium and saline to patients as needed.
- Monitor patients and equipment during the scan process, addressing any issues that may arise.
- Analyze equipment problems and malfunctions, making minor repairs and adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of calibration results, service reports, and equipment performance standards.
- Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT).
- Current CPR certification from AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- RI state radiation license and CT supplemental license from the DOH.
- Two years of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology, plus registration through the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists.
- Current valid license from the Department of Health to practice in the state of Rhode Island.
Our diagnostic imaging department is a fast-paced environment where you will work closely with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care. You will be exposed to radiation, but established safety procedures will minimize the risk of injury. Long periods of standing, walking, and lifting patients will be required.
