Visual Innovation Lead for Software-Defined Vehicles

We are seeking an experienced Visual Innovation Lead to spearhead our visual and video feature engineering efforts, focusing on delivering cutting-edge solutions that redefine mobility and customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:- Leverage advanced AI technologies to design, develop, and deploy computer vision and AI-powered features for cameras, video, and visual systems, ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Advocate for visual and video-centric software-defined vehicle (SDV) features, collaborating closely with product management, design, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Oversee end-to-end project execution, from concept development to production launch, guaranteeing quality, scalability, and timely delivery.
- Drive architectural decisions and design trade-offs for scalable, high-performance software solutions, staying abreast of industry advancements in computer vision, augmented reality, and AI.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence within your team and across the organization.
- MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; PhD in engineering preferred.
- At least 7 years of engineering management experience, with a proven track record of delivering cutting-edge computer vision or AI technologies to market.
- Expertise in building and deploying vision-focused applications at scale, including camera systems, AR/VR, and video processing.
- Deep understanding of computer vision pipelines, image processing, and AI model integration.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as OpenGL, OpenCV, and media APIs like Camera2 and MediaCodec.
- Proficiency in programming languages like C++, Java, or Python, with experience in AI/ML toolkits a plus.
- Strong skills in cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, and project advocacy.
- Experience in building high-performing engineering teams and fostering innovation.
- Passion for creating advanced technologies that redefine mobility and customer experiences.
The estimated salary range for this position is $146,000 - $184,000 USD per annum, commensurate with experience and location. Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance packages, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
