Position Overview

The Construction Project Leader plays a crucial role in the successful execution of construction initiatives. This individual is responsible for overseeing all facets of the project and ensuring that every component is managed effectively. Once the project is handed over by the preconstruction team, the Project Leader is expected to seamlessly transition into the role and drive the project towards successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with and guide the project team, which includes the Project Superintendent, Project Coordinator, and Project Engineer, to ensure that project timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints are met.
  • Develop precise and comprehensive Subcontract scopes and agreements.
  • Utilize project management software, such as Microsoft Projects or Primavera, to create and oversee project schedules.
  • Oversee the management of Subcontractors and Vendors.
  • Facilitate the submittal process efficiently.
  • Identify, prepare, and track Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Lead weekly meetings with Owners, Architects, and Contractors, and document meeting minutes.
  • Draft and manage all project-related correspondence.
  • Act as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for the Owner (or Owner's Representative) and the Design Team.
  • Manage change orders effectively.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly Project Manager Reports to communicate project status.
  • Ensure project closeout procedures are followed meticulously.
  • Address warranty work as it arises.
