Job Title: Registered Nurse for Cardiovascular Operating Room

Inova Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room team at Inova Fairfax Hospital. As a RN in this role, you will support adult and pediatric/congenital cardiac surgeries in our state-of-the-art CVORs equipped with Stryker integrated video and a Philips (Single Plane) Hybrid OR.

Responsibilities:
  • Support adult and pediatric/congenital cardiac surgeries
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of patient acuity
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest cardiovascular surgery techniques and technologies
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Cardiovascular Operating Room
  • Current RN license in the state of Virginia
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a scrub and circulate nurse in a cardiac surgery service line setting
  • Experience with complex procedures, such as transplant and aortic dissections
  • Certification in Cardiovascular Operating Room Nursing (CNOR)
