Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse

We're seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a CVOR Nurse, you'll play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Participate in the care of patients receiving conscious sedation.
- Administer prescribed medications, apply dressings, and monitor vital signs.
- Assist physicians during procedures.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor situations that could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
- Coordinate the operating room with respect to sterility, cleanliness, availability of functioning equipment and supplies.
- Ensure proper handling of specimens.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- 2 years of recent acute care experience.
As a CVOR Nurse, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. You should also be able to lift 20 pounds easily and up to 50 pounds at times. Good stress-coping skills and the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds are essential for success in this role.
