Job Summary:

The Assembly Specialist will be responsible for constructing small to medium sub-assemblies for integration into bigger units under the direct supervision of the production lead or supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude and proficiency in hand tools to perform repetitive assembly operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret different documents, including drawings and BOMs (Bill of Materials or parts lists).
  • Perform light mechanical work, usually of medium complexity and requiring fitting, aligning, and adjusting parts.
  • Use power tools and manual tools to assemble units.
  • Maintain a specified level of quality and quantity of sub-assembled components.
  • Ensure Ratchets are set up, then apply torque.
  • Use the ERP system to distribute finished goods (PLEX).
  • Keep track of and manage the number of workstations in your area.
  • Manage inventory using PLEX.
  • Tell your supervisor or lead how many parts are in your inventory.
  • Clean up the house daily.
  • Make labels for finished goods that are correct.
  • Follow safety practices, participate in safety training as required, and report any unsafe condition or accident.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a US citizenship or permanent resident alien certification.
  • Must possess manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and proficiency in hand tools to perform repetitive assembly or repetitive functions in performing assembly operations.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Proficient in the use of a soldering iron to seal wires and weld tools.
  • Knowledgeable of electronic components and experience in operating assorted tools: drills, wrenches, etc.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year.
