Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a stepdown unit setting
  • Work with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • Must commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays
  • Expected to float between like units as needed
  • Responsible for adhering to the facility's policy on floating between facilities
  • Orientation consists of 40 non-billable hours
  • Maintain necessary certifications and licenses, including a recent LA fire card
  • Ensure clear and accurate communication with healthcare team members
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-timers accepted
  • California license must be in hand
  • ACLS, BCLS, NIH, LA Fire Card certifications required
  • Must-Have: Experience in PCU/Stepdown, ability to care for ventilated patients, competence in managing/titrating drips
Additional Notes
  • Vaccine policies include COVID-19 requirements with medical/religious exemptions allowed
  • Travelers are expected to have references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
  • Use of personal communication devices for work-related activities to be reimbursed as per policy
