Ultrasound Technologist PRN Opportunity

HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated group of professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe and competent manner
  • Obtain and document a complete patient history as it relates to the procedure ordered, and obtain informed consent in accordance with departmental policy and procedure
  • Maintain statistical results for quality improvement
  • Communicate effectively with patients providing explanation of procedures within scope of practice and with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, test results, etc.
Requirements
  • A two-year Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Valid registry through ARDMS with RVT, AB, or OB/GYN specialty/ies
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 1-3 years previous experience as Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer)
  • Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer (MEDITECH), and clerical skills
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions
