As a Part-Time Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a vital role in our team, working alongside a dedicated group of professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the health and lives of people in West Florida.

Responsibilities

As an Ultrasound Technologist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and positioning patients and equipment in a safe and competent manner
  • Obtaining and documenting a complete patient history as it relates to the procedure ordered, and obtaining informed consent in accordance with departmental policy and procedure
  • Maintaining statistical results for quality improvement
  • Communicating effectively with patients, providing explanation of procedures within scope of practice, and with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, test results, etc.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A two-year Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Valid registry through ARDMS with RVT, AB, or OB/GYN specialty/ies
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 1-3 years previous experience as Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer)
  • Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer (MEDITECH), and clerical skills
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions
