Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Expert to join our team at medstaffingnetwork. This role offers a competitive salary of $85,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality medical laboratory services to patients across various age groups, ensuring adherence to professional standards.
  • Perform complex analyses requiring meticulous attention to detail and knowledge of techniques, principles, and instruments.
  • Verify results through in-depth analysis and correlation with physiological conditions affecting test outcomes.
  • Maintain quality assurance programs to ensure excellence in laboratory services.
Requirements
  • Candidates must have completed a Medical Laboratory Scientist-approved route or be actively following one to meet certification eligibility criteria.
  • An ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist is required within six months of hire.
Preferred Skills
  • Analytical/Problem Solving Skills: Ability to collect and analyze data, solve problems using logical steps, and make informed decisions.
  • Clinical Laboratory Technology: Working knowledge in areas of laboratory medicine and technology, including clinical chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, and molecular biology.
  • Quality Assurance Fundamentals: Basic understanding of clinical quality assurance and quality control techniques and activities.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ability to monitor performance, applying knowledge of established performance standards from regulatory agencies and employer requirements.
  • Customer Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service within the healthcare community.
  • Training and Education: Ability to communicate technical concepts, make presentations, and demonstrations to customers and new employees.
