Cloud Infrastructure Engineers are tasked with converting high-level architectural designs into detailed technical specifications. The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will oversee the installation, development, configuration, and operational management of our cloud-based merchandising environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with delivery teams and architects to enhance deployment processes, platform operations, and overall system stability.
  • Evaluate technical components, translating high-level designs into actionable technical specifications while adhering to service level agreements.
  • Manage the cloud platform on an ongoing basis, performing essential functions such as monitoring, patching, and support.
  • Lead code and design reviews, testing, and debugging at the application level.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the cloud platform and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with infrastructure teams to establish the platform.
  • Develop scalable frameworks to facilitate the integration of internal and third-party APIs.
  • Analyze existing platform components to identify enhancements in software development processes.
  • Implement Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions.
  • Conduct coding tests to validate design integrity and create regression tests to ensure reliability.
  • Manage vendor relationships to achieve business objectives.
  • Execute diagnostic tests, including automated regression testing.
  • Document and maintain the service catalog in collaboration with architects.
  • Ensure architectural solutions are stable, secure, and compliant with company standards and regulations.
  • Implement system configurations to support secure application development practices.
  • Establish service monitoring across platforms to guarantee continuous availability of critical systems.
  • Configure, customize, and test software and hardware, documenting defects and analyzing error logs.
  • Engage with various teams to support platform establishment.
  • Drive governance by designing, implementing, and documenting enterprise policies and procedures.
  • Research and recommend changes for system growth using industry-standard monitoring tools.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues, ensuring effective incident management.
  • Coordinate virtual server management, including provisioning, upgrading, and performance optimization.
  • Support the creation of deployment and maintenance documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with data accuracy, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Promote security awareness and conduct audits of server logs.
  • Create queries and scripts to support systems management best practices.
  • Work in an Agile environment, collaborating with various teams to develop scalable and secure solutions.
  • Mentor team members and serve as an educational resource.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years in cloud technology implementation.
  • Proven experience in application administration, including installation and management of cloud-based systems.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud services and operating systems.
  • Experience with automation tools and version control systems.
  • Understanding of modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to support off-hours work as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with various database systems.
  • Azure Cloud experience and certifications.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and capacity planning.
