Position Overview:

The Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in the surgical team, providing essential support to licensed anesthesia care providers. This position involves assisting in the clinical environment and ensuring that all anesthesia-related equipment and supplies are organized and compliant with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed anesthesia physicians in clinical settings, demonstrating practical knowledge in various anesthesia practices.
  • Maintain and organize the anesthesia workspace, ensuring all equipment and supplies are readily available and in good condition.
  • Monitor inventory levels of anesthesia supplies and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare anesthesia supplies and equipment for surgical procedures, ensuring functionality before each operation.
  • Support patient care activities, including transport, positioning, and the application of monitoring devices.
  • Exhibit a general understanding of basic EKG and vital sign changes, reporting any abnormalities to the supervising physician.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of aseptic techniques and assist in setting up sterile fields for invasive procedures.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
  • Graduation from an ASATT approved program.

Work Schedule:

This is a part-time position with day shifts available.
