Position Overview:
The Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in the surgical team, assisting licensed anesthesia providers in delivering safe and effective anesthesia care. This position requires a thorough understanding of anesthesia practices and the ability to maintain a well-organized clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support licensed anesthesia professionals by preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and accreditation requirements related to anesthesia services.
- Monitor inventory levels of anesthesia supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for procedures.
- Assist in patient care tasks, including patient transport and positioning, while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Prepare for various intubation methods and ensure all anesthesia delivery systems are functioning correctly prior to procedures.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
- Completion of an ASATT approved program.
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position with day shifts available.
