Field Calibration Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Calibration Technician to join our team at Transcat, Inc. As a Field Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for providing onsite calibration of test equipment for our customers within a specified location. This is a travel position that requires frequent overnight stays at customer facilities, with a 95% guarantee of returning home on weekends.
Key Responsibilities- Calibrate measurement and test equipment to manufacturer specifications
- Determine out-of-tolerance conditions for customer M&TE and calibration standards
- Provide corrective action for out-of-tolerance conditions, including adjustments and minor repairs
- Update and maintain proper documentation of services
- Provide customers with information regarding other services and new equipment provided by Transcat
- Maintain calibration standards and provide feedback on calibration practices and procedures
- Submit and update required paperwork for travel and administrative purposes
- Calibration experience and/or equivalent training with commercial and/or biomedical measurement and test equipment
- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with customers and coworkers in a professional manner
- Proficiency with MS Office and the internet, as well as basic database functionality
- 3+ years of driving experience with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving history
- Associate degree from a college or technical school, or 2-5 years of related field experience and/or training
The work environment for this role will involve frequent travel to customer facilities, with occasional exposure to electrical shock, moving mechanical parts, and other hazards. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
