As a Data Scientist, you'll design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to enhance our Risk and Fraud detection systems, protecting Step and our customers from fraud and financial loss.
You'll take the lead in the Risk/Fraud area, providing technical direction and helping shape team's strategy.
Key responsibilities include building and deploying ML models, leading technical efforts, data manipulation, code development, and cross-function partnership.
We're looking for a highly experienced Data Scientist with 5+ years of experience in Data Science or ML Engineering, a graduate degree in statistics, economics, applied mathematics, computer science, physical sciences, or a similar technical field.
Proficiency in SQL and Python, excellent data analysis skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences are essential.
Experience developing and deploying machine learning models, as well as working in financial systems, including lending or risk/fraud, is a plus.
