About the Job

As a Nursing Care Assistant I, you will be responsible for supporting registered nurses and other healthcare professionals with daily patient care activities. You will assist with tasks such as preparing patients for procedures, taking vital signs, and providing personal care. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $44,000-$49,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparing patients for procedures and provide manual assistance as required
  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
  • Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Participate in educational activities to reinforce learning and improve patient outcomes
  • Support the development of other staff members and formal learners

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current Nurse Aide I Registry listing with the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation, graduation from high school or GED, and Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association.
