POSITION SUMMARY:
The Retail Service Associate consistently provides an exceptional customer experience to all patrons, employing consultative skills to foresee customer requirements, propose alternatives, and deliver effective solutions. This service-oriented team member possesses comprehensive knowledge of all facets of the Store's operations, including printing, signage, and shipping services. Responsibilities include processing orders, coordinating in-store activities, offering pricing and product information, and recommending suitable FedEx Office products and services. The Retail Service Associate will manage and maintain various equipment, handle boxes and supplies, stock materials, oversee production queues, manage intricate projects, and fulfill assigned tasks based on priority.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Follows directives from supervisors and assists fellow team members in executing store functions.
  • Participates in the training of new store team members.
  • Service
    Exhibits consultative behaviors in a retail setting to comprehend each customer's unique needs.
  • Offers expertise in printing, signage, and shipping product lines and can recommend appropriate FedEx Office products and services.
  • Delivers an outstanding customer service experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions.
  • Ensures prompt resolution of all customer issues to their satisfaction.
  • Processes complex customer orders using order systems and provides accurate pricing information.
  • Prepares goods for shipping by wrapping items, placing them in shipping containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels.
  • Sets up and operates printing, binding, and related equipment using customer-supplied original media and documents.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and organized retail environment.

    Ensures confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents, media, and packages.
  • Processes financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including cash handling and making change.
  • Maintains and stocks all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies for optimal performance.
  • Stays informed on retail merchandising materials and ensures proper display of all retail area products and signage.
  • Takes proactive measures to prevent errors and waste.
  • Completes necessary financial paperwork and may assist with financial reporting, including daily sales and bank deposits.
  • Adheres to FedEx Office standard operating procedures and complies with legal, HR, safety, customer service, and security policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 6+ months of relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to stand for the entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 55 pounds.
