AdeIphi Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition services in a correctional facility setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and implementing dietary interventions, conducting nutrition assessments, and providing nutritional counseling to patients with various health conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clinical personnel in special nutritional needs and provide guidance on nutrition-related matters.
- Plan and implement dietary interventions, including therapeutic diets and menu planning.
- Conduct nutrition assessments and provide nutritional counseling to patients with conditions such as diabetes, renal issues, hypertension, and HIV positive status.
- Collect patient nutritional history and participate in committees related to nutrition and food service.
- Provide training to food service employees on medical diet preparation and distribution.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with food services, healthcare staff, and custodial staff.
- Current and valid registration issued by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for practice in California.
- At least 12 consecutive months of performing similar services within the last 3 years.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- Proficiency in the English Language (Speaking/Writing).
The Registered Dietitian will work in a correctional facility setting, providing services to patients with various health conditions. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
