Job Summary

Concentra Career Choice is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work one-on-one with patients as a healthcare provider, providing personalized care and attention.
  • Monitor the flow of onboarding patients and delivering routine medical care, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
  • Handle a variety of tasks, including blood draws, injections, EKGs, vitals, drug screens, and rooming patients.
  • Assist with physical examinations, including taking vital signs and performing required testing.
  • Provide support during examinations and treatment, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed.
  • Perform ancillary testing and tasks as directed by the Center Medical Director, including but not limited to PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws, etc.
  • Conduct DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing, maintaining the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with front office duties, including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, check-in/check-out, communication of wait times, etc.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, training as a medical assistant, or military medical specialist with current credentials in the state of employment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, clinical office environment.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA) preferred but not required.
  • This role requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management.
