We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flow Coordinator to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. in the Operating Room. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and assistance in directing all activities and services for the Operating Room.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert leadership and guidance to nursing staff and surgeons to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction, reduce wait times, and enhance overall quality of care.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
- Monitor and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize patient flow and surgical services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of necessary equipment and supplies.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality patient care and improve work processes and efficiencies.
- Minimum 5 years of nursing practice in the Operating Room.
- Advanced knowledge of patient flow and perioperative nursing practices.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) or related field.
- Experience with performance improvement initiatives and data analysis.
