Job Title: Flow Coordinator

Job Summary:

Lead the Way in Surgical Services

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Flow Coordinator at Cobb Hospital, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Operating Room. As a seasoned nurse with a minimum of 5 years of experience in perioperative nursing, you will be responsible for managing the flow of patients, maintaining policies, and ensuring the best interest of all patients and surgeons.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement standards of practice, system, and department policies and procedures.
  2. Review and implement new and changes to existing standards of practice in the Surgical Services Area.
  3. Serve as a subject matter expert in the area of Surgical Services in the nursing practice and surgical services procedural areas of nursing care.
  4. Provide expert opinion and feedback in the creation/review of department policies and procedures.
  5. Ensure understanding and compliance with standards and policies.
  6. Assess the impact of, and plan strategies to address such issues as ethnic, cultural, and diversity changes in the population, political and social influences, financial and economic issues, the aging society, and demographic needs.
  7. Evaluate the quality and appropriateness of healthcare.
  8. Ensure that care is delivered with respect to individual's rights and preferences.
  9. Evaluate employee performance using the Performance Management Model in accordance with Human Resources Policy and Practice.
  10. Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements by all department personnel.

Requirements:

  • Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
  • Nursing education from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Reg Nurse (Single State) license.
  • RN - Multi-state Compact license.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • BLS - Instructor certification.
  • BLS - Provisional certification.
  • Cert Nurse Operating Room certification (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
