Job Summary

Calhoun Community College is seeking a qualified Aviation Instructor to provide classroom and laboratory instruction in the area of credentialed expertise. The successful candidate will adhere to the general faculty guidelines as specified by the Calhoun Community College Personnel Handbook, the Vice President of Academic Affairs, and the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees.

Responsibilities
  • Provide competent classroom and laboratory instruction in the area of credentialed expertise.
  • Adhere to the general faculty guidelines as specified by the Calhoun Community College Personnel Handbook, the Vice President of Academic Affairs, and the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation or a related field.
  • Valid instructor certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  • Experience in aviation education or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $42,108– $94,363 (9 months) with the possibility of an additional summer assignment of $13,001 – $29,184 (3 months). A complete application consists of an on-line application, current résumé, and copy of college transcripts.
