Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at St. Joseph Hospital. As a member of our critical care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.

Responsibilities
  • Determine the appropriateness of therapy and communicate with physicians to clarify or modify orders as needed.
  • Provide verbal and written educational materials to patients and families.
  • Document critical values in patient medical records and assist with patient care decision-making.
  • Apply and maintain invasive and non-invasive ventilation systems for critically ill patients.
  • Draw blood samples and analyze results.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA, JRCTE, or CoARC accredited Respiratory Therapy program with a minimum of an associate's degree.
  • NYS Respiratory Therapist license.
  • Credentialed RRT/CRT by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Experience with basic respiratory therapy modalities, mechanical ventilation, and patient assessment.
