Job Summary:

As a Maternity Unit Coordinator with IASIS Healthcare, you will play a vital role in providing indirect patient care in the maternity setting. Your primary responsibility will be to meet the communication needs of patients, families, departmental staff, and medical staff. You will also be responsible for demonstrating basic computer knowledge, initiating directions from physicians and nursing staff, and participating in performance improvement activities. Additionally, you will maintain regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. If you are a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide indirect patient care in the maternity setting
  • Meet the communication needs of patients, families, departmental staff, and medical staff
  • Demonstrate basic computer knowledge
  • Initiate directions from physicians and nursing staff
  • Participate in performance improvement activities
  • Maintain regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures, and standards

Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Certifications as indicated by the Steward Certification document
