Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our customers. You will work closely with our pharmacists to assist with various tasks, including filling prescriptions, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists with filling prescriptions, counting and measuring medications, and verifying patient information.
  • Process transactions, handle customer inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, including restocking shelves and disposing of hazardous waste.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering and receiving shipments of pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and technologies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification or registration (PTCB or state-specific) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions.
