About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our dynamic Emergency Services team at Gundersen Health System. As a Paramedic, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, emergency setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and collaborate with RNs and other healthcare team members in delivering patient care in an emergent or urgent setting.
  • Administer prescribed medications under the direct supervision and/or delegation of the RN.
  • Document interventions, data, and patient response accurately and concisely, in a timely manner.
  • Respond to Code Blues according to policy and provide monitoring, defibrillation, and other skills measures as directed.
  • Work as a member of the trauma team, performing technical skills in the care and treatment of patients with multiple injuries.
Requirements
  • Post High School education in a specialized field: completion of an approved paramedic program by the State of Wisconsin.
  • Valid Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic - Wisconsin (EMT-P) or National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (NREMT-P) or Critical Care Paramedic Endorsement (CCEMT-P).
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Minimum of 6 months prior direct patient care experience required.
