Substance Use Disorder Counselor Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive clinical screenings and assessments to identify individuals at risk for unhealthy substance use.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions and strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective problem-solving.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting healthy coping mechanisms and relapse prevention strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and regulatory requirements in the field of substance use disorder treatment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
- Hold a relevant clinical licensure or certification, such as a Substance Use Disorder Professional, Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist.
- Proof of completion of agency-approved SBIRT training within three months of hire.
- A current Washington State Drivers License or equivalent mobility.
