We're seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at BB Imaging & Healthcare Consulting. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing sonographic scans for multiple modalities, including General, OB/GYN, Echo, and Vascular. You will also inspect and review patient charts, reports, lab results, and medical history, and create patient reports to assist the physician with documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform sonographic scans for multiple modalities
- Inspect and review patient charts, reports, lab results, and medical history
- Create patient reports to assist the physician with documentation
- Analyze sonograms to identify or rule-out patient/fetus anomalies
- Communicate sonographic findings to physician
- Communicate machine errors or needs to maintain quality machines and imagery
- Restock sonography rooms with required supplies for sonography performance
- Cover a variety of clinical settings, including outreach clinics, which may involve extended commute times
- Increase your knowledge of diseases and new procedures through CMEs
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Registered Vascular Technologist Certification (RVT)
- 2+ years' experience in AE
- Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related specialty
- Knowledgeable of applied physics related to ultrasound
- Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems
- Able to communicate effectively with physicians, clients, and team members
- Able to remain calm in emergencies or patient distress
- Premium pay rate commensurate with experience
