Resident Advisor

Zepf Center is seeking a full-time Resident Advisor to work in our Recovery House on Collingwood Blvd. The successful candidate will assist individuals recovering from addiction in maintaining a safe and healthy living environment while providing resources and support to maintain their recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support residents in maintaining their living quarters at a reasonably safe and clean standard.
- Monitor residents' adherence to the Resident Handbook, including curfew hours.
- Welcome and introduce new residents to existing residents.
- Conduct New Resident Orientation within 24 hours of move-in.
- Support and motivate residents to learn skills needed for recovery.
- Help residents find available services, community resources, and service agencies.
- Encourage residents to complete assigned household chores and maintain common areas.
- Observe and report unusual behaviors or potential conflicts between residents.
- Provide feedback to the Recovery Coach and/or Recovery Housing Manager regarding safety or nuisance issues.
- Maintain inventory of housing supplies.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings to provide input on program development and staff training.
- Facilitate weekly House Meetings with residents.
- Communicate effectively with a diverse consumer population and promote favorable interactions with coworkers and residents.
- Carry out agency policies and procedures, participate in community work, staff development, and agency-wide projects, and serve on committees/teams.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and extended sobriety required.
- Must be a current resident.
- Knowledge of Recovery Community resources and other resources available to the target population preferred.
