Job Responsibilities and QualificationsWe are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to provide specialized knowledge and drive exceptional outcomes. Our collaborative team is committed to delivering an outstanding patient experience.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting precise and timely laboratory tests, ensuring proficiency testing samples are analyzed according to established protocols.
- Taking charge of departmental operations in the absence of supervisory staff.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to patient results.
- Executing urgent procedures within defined turnaround times.
- Utilizing sound judgment and independent reasoning in interpreting patient results.
- Monitoring pending logs and addressing any outstanding tasks or communicating with staff as necessary.
- Implementing quality control measures and managing critical laboratory specimens and test results.
Required Qualifications:
- An Associate Degree in a relevant field is mandatory.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
- A valid State of Florida Technologist License is required or the ability to obtain one during the hiring process.
- Licensure in one or more clinical specialty areas is preferred, with a generalist background being highly desirable.
