About the Role

We are seeking a talented Designer II to join our team at Under Armour. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and managing multiple product platforms that meet product and merchandising briefs, price points, and margin targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage multiple product platforms that meet product and merchandising briefs, price points, and margin targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional design partners to develop and execute clear and detailed sketches, technical packages, and bill of materials.
  • Work within an integrated team of design, development, and product line management to act as a key point of contact at pod meetings, lab dip approvals, and fittings.
  • Make key decisions related to product and procedures, and collaborate on creation and presentation of category content (merch pages, decks, mood boards, trim and fabric boards).
  • Present work to leadership at key milestone meetings, including style design review and go-to-market, and present regularly to cross-functional partners at design check points.
  • Oversee design and color updates, and influence category policies and procedures related to design.
  • Mentor and coach junior-level teammates.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with typically 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 3 years of relevant experience or typically 9 years of relevant work experience without degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in the industry, preferably in apparel, graphic, or industrial design.
  • Passion for designing compelling and cutting-edge products, with the ability to understand construction and materials, and preferably versed in manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to express concepts and ideas through sketching, and presentation skills, with comfort working with a group.
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to prioritize tasks, and successfully meet multiple deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
