Advanced Recovery Systems LLC is seeking an experienced Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our Ridgefield team. As a leading integrated behavioral healthcare management company, we provide treatment for addiction, substance abuse, and mental health issues.

ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse Practitioner will provide medical services and patient care to patients admitted to ARS facilities and throughout treatment within the continuum of care.
The Nurse Practitioner will support and follow the policies, rules, and regulations of the facility, as well as state and federal regulations.
Core Job Duties- Provides excellent medical care aligned with the ARS philosophy, including knowledge of medications, assessment for medication complications, detoxification protocols, and prescribing medications.
- Demonstrates proficiency in using the electronic health record with all required documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies, state regulations, Joint Commission standards, and Medical Needs Criteria.
- Understands ASAM criteria and Medical Needs Criteria, documenting decision-making accordingly.
- Provides on-call support, being responsive and available when assigned on-call duties.
- Implements plans for Performance Improvement as needed.
- Develops cost-effective methods to provide medically necessary therapeutic services with the Medical Director.
- Assists in formulating and supporting the highest standards of patient care.
- Supervises Nurse Practitioners as required.
- Understands and abides by all safety, risk, infection control, and other guidelines.
- Turns in time sheets and expenses to the Medical Director/Designee at designated time frames.
- Competitive pay starting at $100 an hour.

- Graduated from an accredited Nursing Masters Program or higher.
- Experience in Addiction Medicine/Behavioral Health preferred.
- Familiarity with Joint Commission and other indicated healthcare standards necessary.
- Communication skills to relate to all levels of facility staff.
- Licensed Nurse with Masters Degree or higher to practice medicine, e.g., Nurse Practitioner-BC, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psych NP) in the appropriate state, as applicable, required.
- Board Certification and ABAM certification preferred.
- Must have a DEA to prescribe Controlled medications in the state(s) working.
- SAMHSA/DEA Buprenorphine waiver is preferred.
