About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our team at DTCC. As a key member of our IT Architecture and Enterprise Services group, you will play a critical role in enabling digital transformation across the organization.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing business systems and integration of business services and information security
  • Driving industry-specific best practices and standards
  • Understanding regulatory compliance needs and coordinating test planning and execution
  • Providing leadership to AD teams and acting as a technology liaison to all IT areas within DTCC, to the business partners, and to the industry

You will be responsible for leading projects, teams, and code reviews, and will be expected to lead by example. You will also define and factor in performance, scalability, availability, resiliency, security, maintainability, support, testing, and cost requirements when making technology selection and application design decisions.

Additionally, you will own the engineering design practices of our software development organization, lead design reviews sessions, and collaborate with Infrastructure and Solution Architecture to choose efficient hosting environments.

You will focus on industry practices such as loose coupling of applications, standardization, APIs, reusability, concepts of isolation, extensibility, and consistency of solutions while proposing and reviewing architectures.

As a Solutions Architect, you will identify and solve for non-functional requirements for the platform consumers, ensure solutions adhere to security policies and standards of the firm and industry, and conduct POCs for tools as seen fit for the area.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in software development and architecture. You should have a minimum of 10+ years' experience in software development and architecture, a Bachelor's degree in computer software or related field, and expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture subject areas.

You should also have knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and standard processes, sophisticated knowledge of software architecture, design, and development principles and practices, and experience with building messaging, event-driven, and cloud-native application architectures.

Previous experience as the lead architect in designing, developing, and deploying high-transaction volume, business-critical applications with very large user bases is highly desirable.
