Job Summary
First Student is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Bus Monitor. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational oversight and day-to-day management of bus routes
- Assist drivers in safe operation of routes, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Communicate with school personnel, students, and parents to ensure a smooth and safe transportation experience
- Conduct emergency evacuations from the bus and assist with loading and unloading students
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning the inside of the bus and opening/closing service doors
Requirements
- Good verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage high degrees of stress
- Early morning availability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Judgement/problem solving skills and ability to make sound decisions
