Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EEG Technician to join our team at Brainworks Diagnostic Services, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electroencephalography and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform EEG procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Abstract relevant information from patient records and obtain additional information as needed.
  • Describe all abnormal clinical manifestations observed during the test.
  • Maintain EEG paperwork, including compiling history of patient, report generation, and sending results.
  • Check and calibrate EEG equipment as necessary.
  • Obtain standard recordings, recognize artifacts, and take appropriate steps to eliminate them.
  • Monitor other physiological variables, such as electrocardiograms and respiration, as needed.
  • Keep equipment in a clean operating condition and detect instrument malfunctions.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Comfortable working independently.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • At least one year of EEG Technician experience.
  • Must be registered in EEG.
Physical and Mental Demands
  • May require bending, lifting, positioning, and/or assisting patients.
  • Long periods of standing.
  • Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making.
  • High level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Occupational Exposure
  • Low risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards.
  • May be introduced to patients with COVID-19, with proper PPE provided.
