EEG Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled EEG Technician to join our team at Brainworks Diagnostic Services, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electroencephalography and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities- Perform EEG procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Abstract relevant information from patient records and obtain additional information as needed.
- Describe all abnormal clinical manifestations observed during the test.
- Maintain EEG paperwork, including compiling history of patient, report generation, and sending results.
- Check and calibrate EEG equipment as necessary.
- Obtain standard recordings, recognize artifacts, and take appropriate steps to eliminate them.
- Monitor other physiological variables, such as electrocardiograms and respiration, as needed.
- Keep equipment in a clean operating condition and detect instrument malfunctions.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- At least one year of EEG Technician experience.
- Must be registered in EEG.
- May require bending, lifting, positioning, and/or assisting patients.
- Long periods of standing.
- Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making.
- High level verbal and written communication skills.
- Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Low risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards.
- May be introduced to patients with COVID-19, with proper PPE provided.
