Job Title: Block Advisors Tax Advisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Advisor to join our team at Block Advisors. As a Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for providing tax preparation, tax audit support, and tax planning services to our clients on a year-round basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their tax needs and provide personalized service.
  • Prepare and review tax returns, including individual and business tax returns, to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
  • Conduct tax interviews with clients to gather information and provide tax planning advice.
  • Identify opportunities for clients to reduce their tax liability and provide recommendations for tax savings.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide expert advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of tax experience, including experience completing individual tax returns and tax planning.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues in person and virtually.
  • Comfort working with virtual tools, including video conferencing and chat.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent.
  • Must complete continuing education requirements and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements.
