Job Overview:
The Systems Analyst comprehends business goals and challenges, evaluates alternative solutions, and conducts studies and cost/benefit analyses of various options.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing user requirements, workflows, and issues to enhance processing or improve existing computer systems.
- Collaborating with personnel from different organizational units to assess current operational procedures, identify challenges, and gather specific input and output requirements, including data input methods and report formats.
- Reviewing system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling constraints to ascertain the feasibility of requested programs or modifications within the existing framework.
Additional Role Details:
- This position involves being part of a team that serves as the central point for all Middleware activities, coordinating TIERS Operations management and Social Services Applications.
- The role includes overseeing all TIERS Releases and Maintenance schedules concerning Middleware servers and the applications they host.
- In the event of issues within the TIERS operational ecosystem, the analyst assesses problems, communicates with management, and leads the resolution efforts.
- From an architectural perspective, the analyst provides guidance on technical implementations, scheduling, automation, and task distribution within the Middleware Team.
- The position supports core TIERS applications both on-premise and those migrated to AWS Cloud Services, working with minimal supervision and extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgment. Collaboration across teams is essential under the direction of the Director of TIERS Operations.
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:

Required Experience:
- 5 years: Installation, deployment, configuration, and administration of WebSphere ND clusters/cells on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including upgrades, patches, and fixes as required by project timelines.
- 5 years: Tuning large, complex Java-based web applications within a Service-Oriented Architecture.
- 5 years: Troubleshooting large, complex Java-based web applications within a Service-Oriented Architecture.
- 5 years: Knowledge and application of DevOps and CI/CD methodologies, with experience automating one or more stages of the DevOps infinity loop model.
- 4 years: Creating pipelines in Jenkins to automate WebSphere Application Server configurations.
- 4 years: Developing Red Hat Ansible Platform playbooks to automate WebSphere Application Server installations and deployments.
- 4 years: Proficiency in various scripting methodologies, including UNIX, Jython, YAML, and JSON.
- 4 years: Understanding of Java and all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- 4 years: Utilization of Application Performance Management tools such as DynaTrace and Splunk.
Preferred Experience:
- 3 years: Experience with IBM Business Automation Workflow.
- 2 years: Experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager.
- 1 year: Experience with IBM DataPower.
- 1 year: Experience with Adobe Experience Manager.
- 1 year: Experience with AWS solution architecture and management.
