About the Position:

Mountainside Treatment Center is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Coach to join our team. As a Recovery Coach, you will play a vital role in providing ongoing support and guidance to clients and their families as they navigate the recovery process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support and education to clients and their families to promote independent and sustainable recovery.
  • Assist clients in locating personal and recovery-based resources, such as AA and NA meetings, therapists, and support groups.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition back to work, home, or school for clients, while adhering to Mountainside's recommended continuing care plan.
  • Assist families in establishing positive modes of communication and practicing self-care.
  • Schedule random laboratory testing for clients and document results.
  • Develop and maintain a Wellness plan to track client progress.
  • Refer clients to other support services as needed, such as medical evaluation and treatment, social services, and employment services.
  • Monitor client progress and adapt additional services as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain reports and case histories using proper documentation techniques.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or minimum 2 years' experience and/or knowledge regarding the spectrum of substance abuse treatment.
  • Certification as a Certified Addiction Recovery Coach is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Strong understanding of ethics and boundaries in the client-coach and family-coach dynamic.
  • Practices good self-care and recognizes the signs of countertransference.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster strong relationships with clients and families.
Compensation and Benefits:

The base rate of pay for this position is $55,000 to $60,000 per year, with a comprehensive benefit package, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k) with employer matching, and a monthly wellness reimbursement.
