Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to support the educational and emotional needs of students in Denton, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, learning processes, and behavioral interventions, along with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) to address student needs.
  • Provide direct counseling services to students, including individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies to improve learning outcomes and address student needs.
  • Participate in IEP and 504 plan meetings to contribute to the development of appropriate educational goals.
  • Collaborate with other school professionals to support a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
  • Stay current with best practices in school psychology, including updates in state and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • Masters or Specialist-level degree (e.g., Ed.S., M.A., M.S.) in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Texas licensure as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) through the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
  • Completion of a supervised internship in school psychology, preferably within a school setting.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, including IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and Section 504.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Certification as a School Psychologist (NCSP) from the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
  • Experience working in a school setting with children and adolescents.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish-English) are a plus.
  • Proficiency in administering and interpreting a wide range of psychological assessments.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel between school sites as needed.
  • Capable of conducting assessments and therapy sessions in various school environments.
