The Facilities Operations and Maintenance division at St. Jude's is seeking a skilled HVAC and Lighting Control Systems Specialist. This position will be integral to our Controls Shop, which oversees the management and maintenance of building automation systems, including HVAC, lighting, and alarm systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the deployment of the Alarm Rationalization tool.
- Lead the integration of alternative systems such as OpenBlue and SkySpark.
- Develop project scopes for internal control initiatives.
- Solicit bids and proposals for various projects.
- Manage Controls Optimization Projects effectively.
- Establish standards for control systems, including Metasys and Lutron.
- Formulate design standards for new construction projects.
- Evaluate existing systems and provide recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
- Manage inventory and procurement of control system spare parts.
Key Duties:
- Fulfill the responsibilities of System Engineer, Maintenance Manager, and Building Automation Systems Expert for modifications and upgrades.
- Assist management in maintaining optimal operational conditions for campus building automation systems.
- Coordinate and supervise utility operations and maintenance personnel to ensure effective monitoring and maintenance of systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a collaborative and professional work environment.
- Address emergencies and issues related to building automation systems promptly.
- Train staff on the operation and maintenance of the Metasys Building Automation System.
- Oversee energy management and conservation programs related to automation systems.
- Review designs and manage projects related to building automation system modifications and expansions.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with thirteen years of relevant experience.
- Associate's Degree in a related field with ten years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field with five years of experience, or equivalent experience.
