Position Overview
As a University New Hire in the Information Technology division at ConocoPhillips, you will engage in our Digital Rotation Program, which includes three one-year rotations across various disciplines. Potential areas of focus include:
  • Application and Automation Development
  • Cloud Engineering
  • Data Analytics
  • Emerging Digital Technologies
  • Global ERP, IT Finance, and HR IT Capabilities
  • Infrastructure Engineering
  • IT Security
  • Network Engineering
  • Technical Capabilities

Your assignments may be located at one of our operational sites. All IT University New Hires will commence their journey with an 8-week onboarding program before being assigned to their long-term roles. You may also have the opportunity to participate in a hybrid work program designed to provide flexibility while maintaining the benefits of in-person collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
  • Identifying and implementing electronic solutions that enhance our business model and optimize processes
  • Developing and supporting automation initiatives across enterprise functions
  • Translating business needs into analytical solutions
  • Implementing and supporting network security protocols
  • Utilizing a diverse array of technologies, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data warehousing, telecommunications, and databases to deliver IT services
  • Providing technical direction to achieve competitive advantages in scientific computing domains

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • Current academic standing: Senior
  • Expected graduation timeframe: Fall 2024 through Spring/Summer 2025
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Willingness to work in specified locations
  • A minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to develop effective solutions based on available information and make timely, ethical decisions
  • Capability to foster dialogue for shared understanding and influence confidently to drive performance
  • Understanding of how key financial and quantitative indicators impact business outcomes
