Job Title: Adjunct Faculty

Thomas Nelson Community College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Health classes, including First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, First Aid and Safety, and Concepts of Personal and Community Health.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering instruction for day and evening classes, assessing student learning, and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Health classes, including First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, First Aid and Safety, and Concepts of Personal and Community Health
  • Design and deliver instruction for day and evening classes
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators
Requirements:
  • Masters degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in health, health education, health promotion, community health, or public health from a regionally accredited institution
  • Passion for the discipline and commitment to a student-centered philosophy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Community college teaching experience
  • Teaching experience in online or hybrid, and traditional face-to-face classroom modalities
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience in using instructional technologies and learning management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to measure, assess, and align student outcomes within courses or programs
