Job OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Underwriter to join our Amwins Special Risk Underwriting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing profitable business within established guidelines, managing various relationships, and underwriting risks.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a book of business, including underwriting new business and maintaining renewal ratios.
- Market products to wholesale brokers through strategic partnerships and business development initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, including training and development opportunities.
- Assist in the training and development of underwriting assistants.
- Guide and direct underwriting teams to achieve business results and financial health.
- Supervise projects and teams of 2-5 people to ensure successful outcomes.
- 7+ years of relevant underwriting experience with a focus on Construction risks.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency with an emphasis in Word and Excel.
