Job Title: Private Equity/Investment Banking Career SpecialistJob Summary:

The Greenwood Project is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Private Equity/Investment Banking Career Specialist to support the development of our scholars and drive meaningful change in the financial industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing effective systems to prepare students for internships in private equity and investment banking, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their careers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement coaching and mentorship programs to support scholars in their career development, including one-on-one coaching, group development sessions, and online coursework.
  • Evaluate and track scholar success on internal rubrics and roadmaps, collecting and managing data to inform program improvements.
  • Design and oversee systems for student support, grounded in best practices for coaching and cohort development, and research and understand best practices from organizations across sectors to continually improve coaching and cohort procedures and experiences.
  • Manage and develop scholar relationships to support retention and success through their lifecycle in the Greenwood Project program.
  • Develop and oversee private equity and investment banking partner feedback systems to ensure scholar success during their internships.
  • Support the strategic build-out of the program, including planning for scaling systems and structures for student development and private equity and investment banking internship success.
Requirements:
  • Completed bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a master's degree preferred, in a relevant subject area.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically in Investment Banking or Private Equity.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and think critically about the intersections between identity and job performance.
  • Ability to design feedback loops and protocols related to improving job performance.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and on a team to align programs or products to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the demonstrated ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to design systems to track and monitor data, with strong Excel skills preferred.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written, and the ability to tailor presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to program and partner events or attend some evening or weekend events.
  • Desire to operate in a start-up environment.
  • Strong ethics and integrity, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional conduct.
