ROLE SUMMARY

This position at Architectural Surfaces Group involves a combination of warehouse operations and driving duties, with the possibility of weekend shifts.

Warehouse responsibilities encompass a variety of operational tasks such as material handling, receiving, shipping, and customer interaction.

Driver responsibilities include the safe delivery of products from our facility to customer locations, which may involve loading and unloading vehicles as well as general labor activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

WAREHOUSE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely operate forklifts and cranes for yard and warehouse tasks.
  • Accurately process incoming shipments.
  • Prepare materials for viewing and loading onto trucks.
  • Inspect, count, and verify received materials against shipping documents.
  • Load and unload trucks with care.
  • Secure slabs on vehicles safely.
  • Properly move and identify materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Communicate effectively with team members.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures.
  • Perform additional assigned tasks as needed.

DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure timely deliveries to clients.
  • Conduct pre- and post-delivery vehicle inspections.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of products.
  • Manage delivery documentation accurately.
  • Report any damages encountered.
  • Exhibit professionalism in all interactions.
  • Maintain necessary compliance records.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in operating forklifts.
  • Able to interpret order forms and serial numbers.
  • Capable of following detailed instructions.
  • Reliable team player.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Clean driving record is essential.
  • Experience in commercial driving is preferred.
  • Flatbed driving experience is advantageous.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to lift heavy loads.
  • Proficient in forklift operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret order forms and serial numbers.
  • Comfortable with prolonged periods of standing.
  • Adherence to instructions is critical.
