Diesel Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Transdev. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure our customers receive safe and reliable transportation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, including brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, and drive trains.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately and maintain records of maintenance work.
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL B driver's license with Air Brake and Passenger Endorsements within 6 months of hire.
  • 3+ years of verifiable professional diesel repair experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • ASE certifications are preferred and must participate in company ASE certification program.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate of $33.44.
  • ASE certification bonus of up to $0.25 per hour for each primary ASE certification, plus $0.20 per hour for Master Certification.
  • Company-paid ASE testing and training materials.
  • Monday - Friday schedule with 12:00 - 8:30 pm hours.
